Malcolm: “Chiang, what’s wrong?”
Chiang: “Mr. Malcolm, I’ve gotten laid off.”

Malcolm (on phone): “Holy shit Sean, you’re not going to believe this. My colleague of nine years just got laid off!”
Sean: “Wow, how did that happen?”

Malcolm: “I rolled into work, and this smartly dressed Caucasian woman I’ve never seen before and my manager just escorted her out.”

Sean: “Yeah, you know it’s bad news when a smartly dressed Caucasian lady shows up at your desk.”
Malcolm: “Tell me about it. And I think I just got laid off too.”
